The Journal of Accounting Case Research is a unique teaching resource and a peer-reviewed journal. Published by Captus Press Inc. for the Accounting Education Resource Centre of The University of Lethbridge, it encourages the development of cases in accounting education, and facilitates the distribution of new cases by making them readily available to faculty and students.

Cases presented in each edition represent a variety of topics in accounting education and related fields. The format of the cases varies from allowing students to role play and make decisions to requiring them to follow the action from start to finish, guided by explanations outlining why certain decisions were made. In addition, each case is accompanied by teaching notes which highlight the key points raised. To aid both the instructor and student, abstracts of each case are also provided.
