Special Features of the NKE Prep Course and Advantages over other prep courses:

  • A customized study plan that starts with a diagnostic pre-test, which assesses your knowledge level and exam readiness, provides feedback that identifies areas that need revision and suggests sources for learning that content.
CCHRA Advantage: You can display (and print out) the entire diagnostic feedback document at any time on any computer for easy access to the topics you need to review!
  • 25 hours of interactive multimedia lectures available on demand – equivalent to about 75 hours of class time.
CCHRA Advantage: More instructional content and any part of the lectures is available for access at any time! You don’t need to progress through parts that you don’t need to review!
  • Interactive quizzes with automatic feedback to monitor your progress through the lectures.
CCHRA Advantage: You can display (and print out) the entire feedback document!
  • 3 timed practice exams – 450 multiple choice questions.
CCHRA Advantage: Three practice exams instead of one provide a better indication of your performance on the NKE and allow you to measure your improvement as you prepare!
  • A moderated discussion board allows you to collaborate and form study groups with fellow prep course participants, ask the content expert questions on relevant issues, and seek assistance.
CCHRA Advantage: Access to a content expert ensures you that all your questions can be answered. A totally pre-scripted course cannot do that!
  • Cost: $295 plus GST (or HST) for 18 weeks access

Special Features of the NPPA Prep Course:

This learning resource has been designed to help you prepare for the NPPA examination. It includes a total of over 120 Critical Incidents that are modeled from those appearing on the actual exam. Each incident is accompanied by four possible courses of action. You will receive a grade reflecting your choices, in accordance with the grading scheme for the NPPA. In addition, an expert-moderated discussion board will enable you to ask questions, receive additional instruction, and work with other candidates. Included are:

  • 20 critical incidents designed to enhance your knowledge and assess your judgment when answering NPPA exam questions. These are presented as decision trees, so that you discover and understand the consequences of correct, suboptimal and incorrect actions in your attempt to resolve challenging situations in an optimal decision. Upon arriving at the best solution, a brief multimedia presentation highlights the general principles of professional practice demonstrated by the incident. Your performance on the incidents is tracked and saved so that you can assess your strengths and the areas where you need additional learning.
  • 65 critical incidents presented in the format of a sample exam, with detailed explanations for the correct answers. This provides you with an opportunity to write a timed exam to further assess your judgment and readiness for writing the exam. Your performance on the sample exam is tracked and saved so that you can assess your strengths as well as areas where you need additional learning.
  • An interactive discussion forum moderated by a former Chairperson of the National Committee responsible for creating NPPA exam questions, where over thirty-five additional scenarios will be posted by the moderator. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss these scenarios, as well as to identify other alternatives that could be feasible, prior to the correct answer being revealed. Discussing various approaches in this manner is the best way to prepare for the NPPA exam, as it helps participants learn of all the different perspectives that HR professionals from diverse environments consider when assessing a situation.
    The discussion board
also allows you to collaborate and form study groups with fellow prep course participants, ask the moderator questions on relevant issues, and seek assistance.
  • Cost: $169 plus GST (or HST) for 14 weeks access
